Matt Driscol's cover article on this week's Weekly Volcano is titled "Fake guns and two dollar bills." It's a reflective and investigative piece on Robert "The Traveller" Hill that offers an in depth and impartial view of a Tacoma icon. The article also features quotes from The Melon's very own Electric Elliot, Chris "The Wedge" Van Vechten and friend R.R. Anderson, reflecting on their experiences with Mr. Hill.
For any Robert Hill Travelers out there, I highly recommend Driscol's article. Also be sure to check out The Melon's interviews with Mr. Hill in audio and video.
Q: From what you've seen and know about Robert Hill, do you believe he's dangerous? And furthermore, do you believe he deserves more respect at City Council meetings?

I just read that article the other day in the laundromat! Most people 'outsource' their political engagement anyway, relying on other people to fulfill their own civic duties, to be at these meetings, to protest, etc. I'm glad he's there because I'm guilty of that myself. I've only been to one city council meeting ever.
Great Article. Matt did a fabulous job
I do appreciate his willingness to stand up for differing political opinions, even if they are only his own. Every has the right to stand for what they believe in.
What I do not appreciate is both the City Council and Robert's actions. I believe the City Council first ignored him because of his beliefs, so Hill felt he had to act out to garner their attention. That has ratcheted up more and more and as a result we have Hill getting into some trouble.
I believe Hill's troubles could have been stopped from the getgo if the Council had showed Mr. Hill some respect.
Is female masturbation day really that outlandish that you have to treat someone like a second citizen?
I don't think so.
We've got audio clips!
