Mutant Squirrels Overrun England

squirrels.jpgLike a bad sequel to 28 Days Later, zombie mutant squirrels are starting to displace normal squirrels in England. These black menaces are said to be stronger, faster, and more fierce than their grey brethren (who have already displaced the more docile red squirrel). There's no word yet on any plans to stop these terrors from destroying the native populations of red squirrels.

Apparently, this is how America is finally striking back at England. Grey squirrels and their mutated black cousins were introduced into Britain from America. What makes the black squirrels so much more fierce is, apparently, increased levels of testosterone in their blood, oddly appropriate since they come from America and are beating up the wussy red squirrels of England.

The best quote by far from this Daily Mail piece is "The rise of the black is the biggest change in squirrel demographics since the indigenous red squirrels almost disappeared 50 years ago from most of England." I mean really, how often do you get a solid squirrel demographic quote like that?

Speaking of squirrel freakiness, apparently in eastern Russia sometime last year a bunch of people witnessed a stray dog get eaten by a pack of squirrels. Local officials denied that that was possible.

I'm not sure exactly when it happened because I read it on BBC. I've noticed with some stories (including this one) that the BBC will randomly redate it, but keep the material exactly the same, and then bump it up to the current regional news headlines so that people will read it again. Seems unethical to me.

This is merely anti-immigrant propaganda. The English public can condem grey squirls all they want, but they're the one's feeding them the peanuts at the expense of the red.....hypocyates
